PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a vacancy exists for the Olathe Fire Protection District Board of Directors and letters of interest are being accepted. This is an unexpired term with approximately 2 years remaining, this seat will be up for election in May 2025. The Board meets monthly on the third Tuesday, 6:30pm at the Olathe Fire Protection District, Station 1, 406 S. 5th, Olathe CO 81425.
The District Board is the governing body for the Olathe Fire Protection District and provides the necessary oversight for both fire and medical operations through knowledge of the governing documents and state law, by attending board meetings and acting in accordance with legal requirements and rules of order and providing for the standard of care with loyalty and confidentiality while delegating management appropriately.
An interested elector within the Olathe Fire Protection District is requested to complete an Interest in Board Vacancy Form and submit a letter of interest by mail, in person, or email to the Olathe Fire Protection District 406 S. 5th St, PO Box 547, Olathe CO 81425, cgrayolathefpd@gmail.com, or fax to 970-323-8714 no later than 3:00 pm on Tuesday June 13, 2023. All submittals will be reviewed, interviews conducted, and final selection will be made by the District Board at the June 20, 2023 meeting.
